The elenco edu-62221 jr. Works flawlessly. The instructions are in the back of the booklet. The booklet provides interesting background on theo jansen, the artist/scientist who created the original standbeasts.

I believe the strandbeest's stride would improve with a firmer footing. It really moves with a strong wind.

Loose one piece on the floor of your messy room mom told you repeatedly to clean up and the whole kit is worthless

The most tedious part was the fan with itsy bitsy teensy weensy strips of double stick tape

Even so the plastic used is top notch low friction and once you get the whole thing together after fishing all the missing parts out from under the bed separating them from the dirty socks and shaking the dust bunnies off it did work
