The lucid 16 inch plush gel memory foam and latex fourlayerinfused with bamboo charcoal mattress which to me felt like a squishy few inches on top of a mega firm bed

And the zinus memory foam 12 inch green tea mattress which to me was more of a consistent feel not as firm as the lucid but the top was also not as soft

I’ve experienced neither of these problems with our mattress

The edges are not firm like a conventional mattress but you won’t fall out of bed because of it
