Using all the comments here i have this now fully functional on a pi3 and raspian
The unit is powered via a microusb connection on the right side of the display board
Depending on your mounting needs the side needed for both hdmi and microusb connectors might be a factor

It uses the same kernel as other raspberry pi oss so the comments here will work on other systems too

As another reviewer points out this displays does not report screen resolution back so you gotta set it yourself in software on the computer

To get those values into that file youll need to attach your pi to some other display in order to edit the file then reattach it to this display after a reboot

This is a touch screen and touch worked outofthebox i did not need to do anything to get touch working

The usb ports do not otherwise provide enough current to drive the screen and it ends up flickering heavily

A few minor cons this product has1 the frame it came with wasnt exactly the same as in the picture on this page
