Pros & Cons
Pros
The re27 is a true upgrade from the re20, industry standard mic for more than 25 years. In normal setting it sparkles with clarity and a nice even bass at the low end.
The sound is fantastic for my home studio. Brilliant clarity and articulation.
This baby is a solid winner! Was shipped on time and arrived as promised. Good voice over microphone.
The internal plosive/pop screen seems to suffice, so i don't have to lug around the akward pop filters. I have had no issue plugging these into a zoom h6 recorder and getting great signal.

Impressive sound quality for my ham radio ftdx5000mp
If i could have my way id have both microphones and use them all the time but if i had to pick one i would stick with the sm7b
With the re27 i get even more kudus on my audio
Competitiveness
I also happen to be a fan of the shure sm7b
Its a sportscaster standard for a reason
If you use the bass rolloff switch it sounds like its cousin the warm re 20

Remember this microphone already has some pop filter material built into it

Plus if you speak directly into it there is barely a hint of proximity effect so your voice wont sound deeper but will sound very accurate

We used to use nice akg 420 condenser mics with pop filters attached but i found the variability as the hosts moved their heads to be a real problem
