This product does work as described with auto shutoff when done

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The cutoff lid feels safe to the touch but this product cuts under the rim instead of splitting the rim to break the seal

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This leaves the lid safe to touch but the rest of the can still feels as bit sharp due to the tin metal

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This was styled and sized similar to other safety can openers that splits the rimlip which allows the lid to be put back on the can but this product doesnt do that
