Perhaps others dont mind this but i actually open and close my computer while it is on the stand so a smaller profile lip would have been helpful

The thickness of the aluminum is about 3mm

The ferrite bead near the end of the plug simply does not pass through

The lip at the bottom is also just below flush with the laptop so there is absolutely no interference when using the trackpad
