I recieved the replacement one today and it had the same issue as the one it replaced so i am lead to believe that the first one i recieved was the exception to the rule though the two less responsive ones were from after they changed the brand name from leaton to ekostore so maybe different parts were used when constructing the ones labled ekostore vs

It is great if you dont need the sound activation mode or if using to add atomosphere to your home or whatever but for a professional lighting rig that requires precision sound activation this is not the droid you are looking for

The cord is actually pretty short too at only 3 feet i would have preferred a longer cord or even better would be a battery and corded option

The tripod simply screws into the base however it didnt seem to screw in completely on my unit but that didnt take away anything though just something to note

The only other recommendation would be for this to come with a mini remote to be able to turn onoff and adjust settings that would be a sweet feature
