Cons
Every time we have to take the garbage out, the handle on the back of the can snags the garbage bag. If your bag is 3/4 full it's extremely difficult to get the nag past the handle hole and rolled top lip. Just a nightmare to try and remove the bag.

But after two years the lid stopped working

I put fresh batteries in but it wasnt working and i was debating about returning it when a friend showed me the onoff switch on the back of the lid

The sensor is extremely sensitive hence i recommend placing the unit near a corner away from heavy movement which will cause the lid to activate
