Pros

This book is at once wholesome and captivating. The characters are so distinctive and believable that you can't help but get caught up in their joys and troubles. This book and its sequel are one of my favourite feel-good duologies.

It is a nice innocent * or teen book that anyone could enjoy. Many wise words are amongst the pages. A good read for any age.

Louisa may alcott always makes me think of those happy times, and makes me feel nostalgic. It is a bit more flowery than little women and has a lot of current time references that i had to look up to understand. Alcott is a genius!

Nature knows how to mould a woman better than any corset maker. I'm sure on many occasions, elegant aunt clara feels like smacking his face.



Cons

If, however, you long to be drowned in blithe mirthiness and sunshine then this is for you. Characters are two-dimensional and boring. In the free kindle version dolly is substituted for debbie (the cook) for 95% of the book.
