I believe you can also get a version that has a maximum height of around 80 inches

Now one of the big challenges in using a smaller lighter wight tripod in the field is stability and many of the tripods i looked at in this size regardless of price had very low load capacities

Otherwise it could be pulled out of the center tube if the weight of your backpack or whatever you’re using as ballast is too heavy

Second the ball makes it easy to shift the camera around as does the rotating platform that the camera sits atop of

I’m hoping the clasps will hold up as some of the other tripods i’ve owned have had clasps fail to work after some time
