After much fruitless searching i found a post on a logitech forum by bayrider in november 2014 that said they were able to fix the problem by ordering this edimax device from amazon and using the short ethernet cable that comes with it to connect to the logitech radios ethernet port

Heres what you do on a computer on your home network connect the edimax and use the cd to set it up via the wizard

When you need to pick the mode select ap client mode which will allow the edimax to connect via wifi to your home network and then via a wired connection to your logitech radio

Now disconnect the edimax from your computer and take it to where youve put your logitech radio

While there may be the rare interruption in the webstream audio the problem of just losing the audio and not being able to get it back is gone for good

I did have some trouble with my computer reading the setup disk but it finally worked

The instruction sheet is poorly printed in very small print
