Either you need a big hole 114 diameter and accompanying grommet or you do what i did and depin the connector so you can send the wires through a small hole and then repin them into the connector body on the other side

Imo edge should know this is the right way to do it and just ship the connector body loose and have you pin it together on the other side of the firewall

It requires no tools to do it that way but having to depin it requires a special tool i have to tool but others who dont work on a lot of gm electrical systems may not

I had to purchase the drill bits and appropriate tap to install

Other than that it installs to the edge monitor fairly easy
