While brown lenses would have provided a warmer light spectrum, these lenses are polarized and they're actually pretty good at reducing the daytime sun glare.

They appear tinted from the outside, but vision is clear.

They do seem to reduce glare, although they are not the 'magic trick' to eliminate glare.

One thing that does kinda suck but at the same time it looks a little cool is the red paint starts to scratch off after a while.

The standard ones that are issued to me at my work rub against my eyebrows, and subsequently become covered in sweat, which makes it difficult for me to see, so i simply would remove them, negating the purpose for the eye protection.
