So once i got everything figured out and connected works really well however the instructions were lacking outdated the instructions tell you to use the ws view app however the gw1100 will not be found with that app to connect as from what i understand the gw1000 did so it looks like they just copy pasted those old instructions over without updating the necessary changes for the new model

After some digging around online for awhile i found mention of the ecowitt app which i found on the android play store with zero reviews so it must be real new at time of this review and boom the ecowitt app finds my gw1100 and syncs to my wh51 no problem you will likely have to turn 5ghz off on your wifi router and possibly switch too 802

Check your stats when away from home you will now need that other older app ws view app it will now see your gw1100 after you set it up with the ecowitt app from here you make a ecowitt account or use the one you have if youve already made one log in from ws view app and sync your gw1100s mac address to your account and now you can check on your plant from anywhere you have access to a web browser
