I opted for this model without a local display because i planned on using it with the android app and also with weewx open source software

It was easy to set up the inside unit and get everything connected to wifi and to the outside units by using the ecowitt ws view app on an android device

But in the end it is running so i can either see the data directly via the ws view app or by connecting to the weewx webpage running on the raspberry pi zero w

I also see there is someone who is developing an android app to work with the gw1000 it is called personal weather tablet
