Hooked it up to my samsung smartthings hub and works without an issue
Also there are many types of smoke detectors ionization combo etc to choose from but nearly no choices if you look for a zwave ones

This is less of a concern however since co is mostly a concern when you are home and the alarms are audible

I think its far better to use a device like the ecolink firefighter rather than using a smoke detector that is zwave or zigbee itself

I certainly wouldnt want automation like smartthings or hubitat to be part of safely mechanism or have any chance to interfere with it

Placed the unit within 3 inches of a smoke detector and set off the smoke detector with some smoke which caused all my chained smoke detectors to go off
