Pros & Cons
Pros
Reviewer says it fits in the overhead luggage compartments in planes, trains, or buses. The shoulder straps have a “rail” that actual has chest strap sliders buckled there instead of clipped, so that is a nice improvement. It is definitely meant to be... Read More
The old style is a heavier bag, but i'm guessing its also more durable because of that. The bag is comfortable and the pockets make it very easy to pack and find what you need. This item easily packs 10 to 14 days worth of clothing and assorted gear.
Cons
The bag unzips and a pocket pulls out. The mesh isn't ripped or torn but not seen well and became undone. Wish i had listened to another reviewer who said the same as me.
The water bottle holder is terrible and got a few laughs from strangers while using it as it looks so silly. When you put a bottle in it it dangles rather that is attached. It comes with a flimsy 2.
The design flaw is that the chest strap is removable and slides off way too easily. It has no waist belt, and awful weight distribution.

Still a great design but am sad about the lost pocket and less space
I don’t know if it is cheaper in quality or durability yet as o imagine they looked for lighter weight materials to reengineer the design

Great prices and shipping time but did not receive that last model with the pad lockable features
