It calculates how much carbs, calories and potassium there is in the amount you weigh. More than most scales of it's kind. Made the purchase due to being diabetic.
Cons
Batteries keep popping up out of holder. Batteries go dead to quick, if i wasn't trying to learn the scale i probably not have noticed some of these" "nope, it's not there. Nope, not there either. Is this the norm for food scales?
As someone with a trained culinary background i also know an accurate scale is far better than measuring cups in baking. For instance, one skinless, boneless chicken thigh on the site is about 109 calories roasted.

My daughter is type 1 diabetic so being able to weigh food for exact carbs has been a life saver, literally.

The only thing i don't like is the learning curve on using all of the features of this scale, not very user friendly but works good once you get the hang of it.

The code book is a little confusing, some fresh things i'm not sure if it counts the peel or not (it sometimes says and sometimes doesn't) but i just reference stuff on calorie king to see if the carbs seem accurate.

Also the provided batteries were dead so have some aaa on hand.

I took one star off because it isn’t very user friendly to utilize the built in functions.

It still works well as a food scale, but is a hassle to look up the code in the book to find the item you want.
