Its surprising how something as simple as a desk organizer can be well or poorly designed but its possible and on the whole this one gets everything right1 shelves are slightly angled so loose items are naturally drawn inward2 there is a mesh back to keep everything inside openbacked designs require that they be placed against a wall3 there are vertical strips on the sides again to keep everything inside4 the shelves themselves have semicircular cutouts to make it easier to grab papers this is a small and helpful design tweak that surprisingly many desk organizers omit5 the penstapleretc organizer is on top rather than the bottom very sensible as this makes it much easier to grab small items than if the organizer is on the bottom with an organizer shelf above it6 the overall organizer is very solid 4 horizontal steel rods hold the whole thing together and for a desk organizer this is more than enough7 everything assembles easily and cleanly simply attach those 4 rods with 8 screws 2 on each end and the shelves and back slide smoothly into place on tracksthe only reason im giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the top organizer doesnt sit flush with the top because it was made asymmetrically and wont align properly
