The wires are thinner than the original cable so time will tell how long theyll last but what i like is that the sections that get bent behind the ear are black the original shure cable is all clear and after a few months of active abuse these parts are the first to turn green from dirt it goes inside the wires so its not like you can simply clean them

One thing that i appreciated was that the vendor emailed me to say that sometimes the volume control doesnt work because of some odd ic chip error built into the mic and they said that if that happens to turn the connector while plugged into the device clockwise about 8 times and then counterclockwise about 8 times to reset the builtin ic chip those of you who have commented that the micvolume control has stopped working should try this

I purchased these for my shure se215s since the original shure cables were too weighty for my ears
