Them edge are at least half of the brightness of the mighty brights and the light throw is in an egg shape that will not cover your entire kindle with light due to the shortness of the adnustable arm

There is also dark edges when you are reading so that is anoying and light will not cover all of keyboard under any angle ever

The only thing that caught be by surprise was after about 1 hour the light started blinking and turned off
