Pros
The ir received cable is long and comes with adhesive pad. Used this for switching between youview box and a raspberry pi. Solved it by popping off the device-end sensor's little perspex cap.
Added remote makes for fast flicking between hdmi sockets. Automatic switching is a bonus and saves fiddling with yet another remote. Does exactly what it should.
Cons
The remote is ridiculous with no feel if button is pressed. Unit keeps switching to bluray. Unplugging everything then plugging it all back in gets the picture back but again as soon as you switch it between channels - all channels stop working again.... Read More
Will get around to sending i back once the covid lockdown is relaxed. Will be returning it for a refund. It now rests in a drawer and will probably never be used.

I did not notice any degradation in the quality of the picture manually itfunctioned beautifully
I would recommend spending a bit more and getting the version with the infrared remote control

It wasn’t obvious that the infrared eye attachment was essential to allow the remote to work hence one star less for installation

Problem one available hdmi port left on tv main viewing amazon firestick which doesnt support now tv via which i watch football sometimes on a sky pass and a roku stick which does support now tv

I brought this with trepidation as i had purchased a cheaper one and different make which did not do the job at all

Great when you are short of inputs but fed up of pluggingunplugging your different devices

The auto feature works well so hardly ever use the remote as it picks up what device is on
