Once the slide out was fixed the man who repaired it told me to use teflon spray on the gears of the slide out

Just use a cotton swab around the top edge of the container with this on it and most insects cannot climb out it will work for a very long time months even depending on the insect

It leaves behind a dry film of teflon and that works for a long time to prevent squeaks and things of that nature
