As a whole im pretty pleased with the way essentials presents the game
Ive only been playing 4th edition dd since october 2010 and ive fallen in love with the game
If you have the dungeon masters guide you dont really need this product
If you prefer to have a book with updated errata and that excites you then you may want this product
Price
The price is too small and the itens are very complete
The amazon price is good but the high msrp on these box sets penalizes local game stores because of how deeply amazon can discount
Shipping
I ordered it with the 4 14 day shipping and it took 4 days including sunday
Packaging/appearance
There is some scenario material in the dmg that was left out of the kit but thats somewhat minor complaint
Competitiveness
Theyve done a great job with these so you have two fullsize maps and four halfsized maps
The awesomethe adventure booklets included in the kit are beyond excellent
Just some cheapy plastic ones would have been nice

If this product included de rc instead if the dm book it would earn its fifth star

The dm screen gets a bit thick when new and folded inside so the box might not close completely at first

The foursection dm screen has a great illustration and most importantly features all the updated tables i crossreferenced with the official errata from wizards of the coast needed for the game i already used it a couple times and found all quickreference info on the screen in a big enough format
