Pros & Cons

Pros

I am pleased with the product. I assume that the plastic ties would work just as well.

Only complaint is the lint catch system could be a little better. The inner baffle has a pressure valve type of system to keep the air flow moving. My dryer is in the basement, so it doesn't really bother me.

It is a safety feature so when the screen gets plugged up, air can still vent. The heat keeper is also behind the wall but after drywall i put in a simple return vent cover.

Cons

There are no mounting brackets or fixtures for keeping this on or against your wall. Good idea, but the bypass flap in the diverter door is a weak link. Same old cheap * in a different form.

Screen is small and will rapidly become clogged with lint that gets through your dryer lint screen. There should have been band * not zip ties. Buy a real set of hose * to install this item.

Product screams cheaply made and poorly designed as soon as you open the box.

Leaking air is due to the flap leaving almost a ½ inch gap when in the summer position. No gaskets or sealing valves on this, just cheap plastic. Second valve built into the main one that won’t close itself. Doesnt seal tight.

Quality

This one is onepiece construction the damper valve works well and locks into position properly

Great product just wish it was metal or a little sturdier

The two ends met seamlessly and there are zero air leaks

The supplied clamps are useless i used metal hose clamps

Price

You paid for that air to get hot

You can get these at home depot for about 6

A little cheap but should work fine

Competitiveness

This works better than the other cheap one

The plastic zip ties are okay but youll really want to use duct tape or metal duct screw worm type clamps typically used for dryer ducts
