It actually has a small wooden axle mashed between heavily rimweighted plastic halves by a metal screw and locknut

Fixed axle yoyos are rather low tech and sleep spin at the end of the string by the stationary axle simply spinning inside the loop on the string

As far as fixed axle yoyos go proyos do have an excellent sleep time therefore the early records i mentioned above

Bottom line if you gauge the worth of a yoyo on nothing but epic sleep times then dont buy anything without a bearing
