Id use a hair dryer to warm up the areas youd be put first then again after you apply the tape before applying the shrink films

My point of contention is that 34th of the way through the roll of tape the manufacturing got messed up and the sticky part of the tape was exposed while the backing was underneath

Essentially this made applying the tape to the window really difficult and rendered the rest of the roll useless
