The red baked finish had a few flaws in it but you would have to examine closely to find them if you didnt know where they werealso the steel is named a few different times in the description but its listed under 2 different types of steel so you really have no way of know for 100 which steel its made from

That being said its a beautiful sword and i am very pleased with its construction it dont come as sharp as it could be buy i highly doubt the blade is too dull to do damage if i were forced to draw it in defense

The fittings are low quality but that was expected for the priceit is thick and not designed for competition cutting like some other blades but it is more forgiving of poor technique and less likely to twist under torsional stress
