Pros
Worked perfectly connecting to my phone. Fired right up, no issues. Communication works as expected, have not tested it deeply.
Cons
The “rx” pin on this chip is faulty and does not work. Other commands, like changing the baud rate or setting the pin just refuse to work entirely.

This runs transparent serial as a slave right out of the box

Note that the hc06 only works in slave mode receives commands only if you want it to be a master send commands then youll want to purchase the hc05 instead

This is an hc06 so according to my book its not masterslave
