If you dont do this like i didnt the first go around you will trap the air thats created when you compress the mattress inside the cover and you will find yourself lying on a huge air bubble

I didnt buy this for the water protection i bought it to kill any bugs that might of been in the mattress

They are thin vinyl and rip after a few months

This is thicker plastic and doesnt appear this will rip quite as easily
