Make sure everything is clean (do not use soap! Great product. Fully recommend. You also need to keep your bottle refrigerated.

Within a week had perfect nitrite and nitrate measurements. Added additional ammonium chloride at day 3 and 5 to maintain ammonia in the 2-4ppm range. Also used drtim's - ammonium chloride.

After 24 days since empting tetra safestart plus. Doa doa, yep these boys were dudes. I'm guessing the bacteria didn't survive the way amazon handles it.

Tank is not cycled and does not have any beneficial bacteria to speak of.

It looks like it is converting ammonia to nitrite. No changes in nitrite or nitrate after a week. Ammonia is still present with very very low nitrates.
