And although im not a scientist or engineer i used this ice chest and another yeti about the same size to hold beer for the trip i went on and when we got back home after our week long trip this ice chest driftsun still had ice cubes inside while the yeti did not

Has a hole in it and need to replace it but cant return it until after the 15 of aug i gave it as a gift and we wont be back together till 14th even with the hole in it it was doing a great job just leaking water

But be aware that the info inside the cooler says it is 38 quarts not 40 as advertised

I found a review on this product that said that it actually kept ice frozen longer than a yeti
