Pros

Great instruction book on drawing cats. Lee ames presents eight steps on each cat/page. Break it down so that cats are easy to draw and made look realistic.

This book is one of those oldies that is tried and true. My 7 year old granddaughter was thrilled with this book. Another book in my reference arsenal.

The results are not childish. I'm learning to paint but sketching is hard, this makes it easier. Wonderful sketching lessons for older children.

It gives detailed instruction. The instructions (pictures very little to zero text) are simple enough for the kids to handle. The end result will be something an adult can be proud to display.

Cons

This book teaches by using sketches, only. Hence, the step-by step title is misleading. Not much to the book.
