Nice, captivating story. Writing is excellent and the story keeps you enticed. The storytelling is absolutely fantastic.

Audiobook on libby. This is a reread from when i read it when the book first came out. Although this book needs to be read after 1 and 2 in order to understand anything, it is a great piece of a long saga.

While "the great hunt" glazed over some plot holes with hand-waving, here we find internal consistency. It takes a couple hundred pages to get going, but when it does, the payoff is worth it.

The dragon reborn is for people who love their fantasy with no suspense and very little conflict. The characters lack emotional depth.

They blush and simper and pull each others hair like 5 year olds.

This world is just sooo boring. Its just one big city after another, all filled with unremarkable humans.

For every page worth reading you must work your way through 10 pages of boredom. Mind you, i tend to be not quite braindead - and i have never experienced such a lapse in my attention - regardless of how mind-numbing a book has been.

The writing is dull as if one were to rub two stones together. Formulaic telling only agitates this trope.
