The leds would appear to be in the 3 mm range if included but i will have to measure them to be certain and update this

There is one slow flashing led in the chest on the battle damaged area in which replicates the shorting out of the suit compared to the prepainted lit version

I would either go with a cool white leds in which have a bluish cast or use blue leds depending on the builders personal choice

I only spent about 3 minutes looking over the kit upon opening the box but it would be a shame not to illuminate this kit when it was designed to do so but i would not hold my breath on dragon ever making a lighting kit for this because it would be a first plus the prepainted illuminated kit is close to 100

The kit instructions and very basic painting guide are typical of dragon figure kits and could be better so you will have to look for pics on the web and or use the iron man 3 movie for reference for detail painting

The suit has very little of the dark cherry red color and is all almost a pale gold color with some silver and brass minor suit details
