I think following amazon’s size chart based on height and weight not age would have given me the right size

The reason i only give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the seams are a bit sloppy i had to trim several loose threads

The 12 month size the zipper fell off track multiple times until now the zipper is lost cannot use it anymore
