Pros

Well, installing is not a breeze but it works very well. Easy to install, well built and sturdy.

Great device, works as advertised, however the magnets are way too strong for the application on indoor residential doors. Wishes they had offered two magnetic power versions. Works great with a super strong magnetic hold.

It holds the door in place when engaged and is not overly aggressive when closing the door. This keeps the kids from slamming the door into the wall. No more wind slams the door hard at all.

Magnet is very strong and securely holds the door open. The spring loaded magnet holds a door in place solidly. The magnet is strong enough to prevent the grandkids from pulling it loose.

Cons

Magnet is so strong that i was unable to disassemble the door mounted component. I had to give the door a good * each time to free it from its grip. On the third time the drywall gave in.

Im not sure why it took me so long to think about replacing it with a modern door stop but i was pleased with the result

I probably could have gone with the cheaper model that doesnt have the softcatch but i prefer the aesthetics of this model
