Had rotator cuff surgery a week ago. I am always cold and in early spring my arm was sweating. Donjoy ultrasling iii provides support and allow the arm to heal.
The ultrasling iv has a strap system that eliminates pressure on your neck. It keeps your arm stable and you can wear it comfortably all day and even at night. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs solid shoulder stabilization.
I opted for a size large which turned out to be perfect! Takes some adjustments to fit your needs so be patient and tweak it until you get it right. Once you figure out the adjustment process it feel very nice.
Cons
The strap that goes around your neck is horrid. I am a petite female (5'1, 110 lbs), but still these straps are so long that even my health care assistant noted that someone twice my size would have a difficult time getting a proper fit with this. Thi... Read More

I chose to replace it with the ultrasling iv and am glad i did
Like previous reviews i was discharged from the hospital with the typical sling that goes over your neck
I could not imagine having a cheaper less of quality hang from your neck sling
I ended up with the arm hole over my neck while i was still half zonked out protesting and begging them to look at the directions

Donjoys sling is a total winner in design comfort and price

Was looking for a sling that took the pressure off of my neck and the donjoy ultrasling iv was just the ticket
Prior to my surgery my doctors office gave me the donjoy iii which is completely inferior to this one

It was missing the thumb strap and smelled like cigarettes

It did the job but it felt cheap and the neck pad would never stay in place and would constantly get twisted

When i had my surgery they gave me a sling with pillows that went around my neck it was very cheap material and uncomfortable

The iii has the single strap that bites into your neck along with a cheap sleevepad that constantly gets twisted and bunched
