But the instruction booklet is out of date as regards to installation because the hard drive is already preinstalled

For those who are not computer literate i advice the following when you format your flash drive format in fat 32 but if your flash drive is already formatted to exfat 32 all the better as your download to your ps4 will be all the quicker

Dont attempt to format to exfat32 if you dont already have it as it will take longer to format than the entire installation of your new hard drive

As regards to update make sure you down load a fresh install of the full system software and not download update
