Highlights
Quality
I like the quality easy setup with smart things hub fast ship good price for the features
Very happy with the quick response during testing with my dome water shutoff valve
As a result this keeps the pucks contacts always in contact with the cradle
Dome makes quality zwave devices and has a great support organization behind it
Competitiveness
I have just moved from wink to vera for a zwave hub and these sensors just work well fast and battery last a long time
I like the fact that i can just use the zwave network rediscovery rather than having to reset sensors from leaksmart
It claims to have a 3year battery life
Note i do have a zwave plug between the unit and hub that hopefully is acting as repeater

But then i started running into inconsistency issues where the sensor showed it was wet for long periods of time

In order for the wired probe to work correctly the dome puck has to make complete contact in its cradle

If it does not then any intermittent communications to the smartthings hub can throw the drywet condition out of synch and its virtually impossible to get it back to in synch

The default of state of the sensor when it is out of synch is that it shows wet

Now when you dry the pucks contacts the sensor will go back to dry

So heres what i did to prevent this form happening again

Since the arms of the plastic cradle do not really hold the puck firmly enough to avoid intermittent separation of the contacts between the puck and the cradle
