This was the reason we settled on the e collar and even though i still think that shocking is a last resort i did get plenty of use out of the beep and vibrate function

When we put this collar on our dog the difference is night and day all it takes is a warning beep if he sees another dog and at that point he will generally ignore the other dog

The reason that i am giving this 4 stars is that theres a particularly useless feature on the collar

So there are 4 different modes and they cycle as such lightbeepvibrationshock

The light mode is pretty useless in fact if you are trying to cycle through the modes then that light mode just kinda gets in the way

The only other problem i have with this e collar is that the remote is pretty flimsy

I dropped the remote accidentally on a walk and the antennae portion broke in two
