Pros

Thiis is a two sided, fine and slightly rougher file. The grit does a good job of aggressively reducing those nails. It’s amazing for smoothing those rough heels & calluses!

This is probably the safest way to shorten your dog's nails. You just have to have some patience and do some training/conditioning. This is a seriously effective and precise tool that makes a stressful job much easier and less painful.

Cons

The file if fine but the case is loose and the file slips out very easily. Arrived broken in 3 pieces.

I usually use a dremel grinder and you have to be sooo careful not to burn them because the spinning drum heats up quickly

The dremel is also very noisy so it creates a struggle every time

I used to use the rotary battery op filling but she suddenly started putting up a fight with that

As with any thing new you introduce to your animals you have to start slow even just handling the toes first then building to where you can file

I think its only good if your dogs nails are already trimmed

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

My pug had one bad nail trimming experience with a groomer in dec 2017 so he wouldnt even let us touch his paws right after that

Then we tried to clip his nails at home which caused too much stress for him and us

Then we tried dremel 7700 and he couldnt stand the sound of the tool
