Shih-tzu dachshund mix and her fur is shih tzu. Makes brushing a pleasure for cat and owner.
Long haired cats and dogs can benefit from this brush. We are purchasing this brush for our long haired cat.
Cons
I have a wire-haired dog and this did not pull up 5 hairs on his entire body. Attempted to use a n my bichon frise, the bristles are sharp and ripped his fur.

It caught quite a few fur and it was easy to clean it out with the builtin mechanism
Good quality cleans itself easily rounded barbs on the end for pet comfort
Others mentioned “scratching” with the metal tips but i think my pup likes it let alone minds it
