    Bmw dealer wants over 40 and you have to buy the fuelcap and tether together as one unit

    Just press in the end of the new tether into the hole located in the center of the top of the gas cap

    My tether fell off my bmw 325ci gas cap so like a fool i bought a non oem gas cap that not only didnt fit the tether was too short

    Put some olube or or silicone lubes on it and it should not dry out

    The bmw rubber tethers are handy but they do break
