Pros
The rod, with a reel, is comfortable to hold and palm with the reel. Not the lightest or most sensitive but good rod for the price. The rod has a whole lot of backbone and a pretty sensitive tip.
The finish seems like it's going to scrape up easily because it's matte, but no issues yet. Their fury line of rods is great!
The 2 bad reviews on this page are hardly believable. These rods offer some of the actions of higher priced rods. The warranty is phenomenal, and the price point is a great value.
These rods are aesthetically great as well. The combo foam and cork grips are nice.
Cons
Two of the eyelets/line guides are almost completely glued closed. Rod was shipped broken. Arrived at my door with no box or tube with several damaged guides.

Dobyns has a warranty program which you can replace a broken rod upgrade to a different rod of any edition or sell it back to them

You can get away with throwing the 8 hudd but its 2 power under the optimum so youll fatigue faster and have a weaker hook set ratio
