Pros & Cons
Pros
Epoch 11-28t freewheel has 11 teeth in the 7th sprocket. Easy install, and the 11 tooth sprocket adds much value. Lower number of teeth toward the higher gears (six or seven) allows for better cadence.
It's breathed new life into my old 1995 nishiki. This is heavier than what was found on the bike initially.
It rotates freely so i don't expect any problems. I keep my drivetrain/chain adjusted properly (rear derailleur gets out of whack occasionally causing slippage) and never do any air-time or anything else to inflict undue stress to me or to the machine... Read More
Cons
The 11mm teeth are bent or malfunctioning. Cheap product and a lack of customer service from the vendor. Is it a deal breaker now that i bought it?
Highlights
Quality
The quality is good for the price and most of all it has the very hard to find 11t top gear
Ive not installed it on my bike yet but it looks and feels like a good quality product
Except that once you hit 24mph you have to pedal like a lunatic to keep up with the motor
Wanted a lower 11 teeth 7th gear to allow peddling at higher speeds with the electric peddle assist
Shipping
However paddling at 2022mih was too fast for me to be used effectively in pedelec mode
Competitiveness
I have a 7 gear electric bike with a small 300w motor
Using on an ebike modification on a giant folding halfbike
Upgraded from a 1428 for my ebike
I used an ebike for commuting which works great but the bike came with a 1428t freewheel

I don’t recommend doing it yourself unless you really know what your doing and you have the right tools

At the time i desired a little more speed than my 14t28t freewheel could manage although it seems a bit silly now since my average speed on 20 to 35 mile rides usually only runs between 8 and 10 mph at best and the only time i do more than trudge along up hills at under 15 mph is the 1015 of the time spent going down hills so i wouldnt really have missed all that much in the first place

In any event i keep my drivetrainchain adjusted properly rear derailleur gets out of whack occasionally causing slippage and never do any airtime or anything else to inflict undue stress to me or to the machine itself cassettes work better for that arena

The conversion kits come with a very cheap freewheel and the smallest sprocket made me have to pedal like crazy just to do 1214 mph
