Because it is so small the stone is about an inch long it can get around the contours that are so common in snowboard edges these days

It is also small in the vertical direction which helps it clear the edges of snowboard bindings

It has been my experience that some of the other edgers out there are so big that they cannot get to the concave parts of the edge and they sometimes hit the binding as they pass by

If you have to take the bindings off the board in order to service it then you might as well just bring it to a shop
