Pros

It's worth the steeper price all day long. Super easy to use, slick design and decent size. Works well even with cpm cruwear. Other than the ware in cycle that took about 3 days (may vary per user) it still works as good as it did before.

I use them purely for home use, work use, and have yet had a chance to use them as an outdoorsman would. These stones are the best ive ever used.

Cons

The surface is very uneven and the abrasive coating does not extend all the way to the edge of the plate. The sharpener is a shear cut chunk of steel with diamond dust sprayed on it.
