The removable cover is washed atleast once a week for the past 3-4 months and has held up nicely. Buddy has a problem - he sprinkles his tinkles on it often. No noticeable deterioration.
Dog bed pillow covers are wonderful! It is great! Great product. Our dog loves this bed!
The liner appears to be a heavy, closely-woven nylon with a waterproof coating. I feel confident that it is waterproof, with the lining and the outer material seems sturdy and the zipper is great. Take it from a seamstress; this is great stuff.
Cons
Within 2 minutes the zipper was pulled apart. My dog is obviously part of the problem, but he wasn't deterred at all, even with 3 chew toys in his crate. The zipper needs to be much stronger.
Headline is a little deceiving. Material this bed is constructed of is neither durable, heavy duty, nor luxurious.

I stuffed the bed with the filling of a euro pillow and it was perfect

I filled it with the stuffing from two previously ripped up dog beds for extra padding

It would be cool to see a newer version of this made with a zipper you can tuck in so the dog cant see and be tempted to chew

Be sure to push the air out before you completely zip it up otherwise it is like an air balloon
