Sharpens very well in an xacto ranger wall mounted sharpener
But so much cheaper than other varieties
The problem is that my xacto ks wouldnt sharpen these pencils

It matters more than a person would think about writing with a skinny verses fat pencil in kindergarten and first grade

However they are too thick for most pencil sharpeners the shape doesn’t seem to fit well into the big hole of our sharpener

Pencil grips are ok but cumbersome for beginner writers because they do not know which fingers to put where and you have to remove them to sharpen
